LiLi
LiLi, let me share your remarkable journey with you, my sweet Little Lady. You came into this world just three weeks after Pay, and oh, what a whirlwind it was caring for you and Phoenix, who, sadly, isn’t with us anymore. But you, LiLi, you were a fighter from the start.
You faced some tough challenges early on. It was bitterly cold outside, and you were struggling to poop, while poor Phoenix battled the opposite problem. But I was determined to see you through. I learned how to gently guide a tube down your throat to give you the mineral oil you needed to get things moving. And move they did, thanks to your tenacity.
Your small size, a reflection of your mama’s stature, earned you the endearing name Little Lady, or LiLi for short. But despite your size, you had a heart as big as the sky. You quickly became Pay’s closest companion, forming an unbreakable bond that warmed my heart.
For the first year of your life, you, Pay, and Phoenix roamed together in a field at Pam’s house. Every day, I brought you water and milk, ensuring you thrived on your mama’s milk for over a year – a rarity in the dairy world. And thrive you did, growing strong and healthy under Pam’s watchful eye.
You brought laughter and surprise into our lives, LiLi, with your unexpected talent for fence jumping. Who knew cows could leap like deer? But every time you wandered off, a bag of carrots lured you back, your eyes sparkling with mischief.
But life took a turn when you reached the age to return to the dairy farm. It was hard to see you go, LiLi, but I hoped you’d find your place among the herd. Yet, it wasn’t to be. You struggled with milking, finding the process distressing and painful.
Then came the call from the farmer, informing me of your impending auction. My heart sank at the thought of losing you to such a fate. But I couldn’t let that happen, LiLi. So, without hesitation, I bought you back, sparing you from a fate no cow deserves.
And then came the surprise – Ralphie, the bull, and the news of your pregnancy. It was a twist of fate, bringing you back to where you belonged, reunited with Pay and carrying new life within you.
And that, my dear LiLi, is how you became the second member of Pay & Friends Inc., a testament to resilience, love, and the unbreakable bond between us
